total of 500 hours of tutored studio work
Still life study is a very important part in academic painting studies. It contributes to the knowledge of formal composition, materiality effect and learning of the significance of paint layer. I made still life studies in the studio and on the open air, aiming to explore the influence of environment on colour.

Landscape and Cityscape Studies are the "obrigatory extras" which fine art academics are suposed to do in ther free time and obrigatory life painting. As the studio work was very intense during the scholar years, I was mostly making sunset, sunrise or night landscapes, profiting of the late hours. Each painting I used to do in 3-6 hours, aiming to capture armospheric and light caracteristics of the exact day

DIPLOMA PROJECT IN THE KAZAN ART COLLEGE
"Nothern Legend" Exellent with honors defence 2006
The final diploma project had to be an independent artwork with a defined style. I opted for an epic subject because at that time was under the impression of my artistic residence in Karelia (far Noth of Russia), whre I studied a relation between landscapes and local folk traditions. It took about 5 month to draw a composition and to make preparatory sketches and about 2 month for painting of a final work. The resulting series of 3 oil paintings are in the permanemt collection of the Kazan Art College.
